If you indeed desire to be part of the living organization of men,
women and children that have brought the martial arts community
at large a paradigm shift in coaching and performance via NATB (Non-attribute
based training), the I-Method of teaching and the Fundamental Fives
of game development… the time is now to get involved!
The process is simple and open to anyone wishing to have direct
and consistent access to the coaching methods, performance evaluations
and business experiences of the SBGi staff of instructors, coaches
and gym owners worldwide.

The SBGi Affiliated Training Group (ATG)
Open to anyone wishing to be a part of the SBGi who currently has
an existing training / study group of members who feel that they
would like to further develop their martial arts experiences through
the training and coaching methodologies and integrated systems approach
of the SBGi.
The ATG program is designed to further the skill level, knowledge
base, and coaching experiences of the ATG trainers and their training
partners, students and members to the point where they can eventually
gain SBGi Gym status and have SBG Instructors on staff. This process
is initially started through a visit and evaluation by SBGi President
Matt Thornton, VP Luis Gutierrez or the
Regional Director of the ATG candidate’s area.
After the initial visit and evaluation and acceptance onto the
ATG program, the new ATG would then be required to have two more
training periods per year with their region’s RD as well as
one per year with Matt Thornton if necessary.
The dates and specifics of these yearly training and evaluation
seminars, clinics or private sessions are set and secured individually
by the ATG and their RD as every ATG is different in size and experience
level. Camp and seminar attendances by the ATG trainers outside
of their own regions can also help meet these yearly requirements.
An active ATG gains comprehensive coaching in all aspects of running
a successful SBGi gym including business management. They learn
coaching, training, curriculum design and implementation of the
SBGi philosophies and core programs such as CM, PAW, ISR, STAB,
etc.

A SBGi Gym
A SBGi gym is a training center where a SBGi Instructor is present
and running its training sessions, scheduled curriculum, and general
direction and atmosphere. Once an ATG has developed its very own
Instructor, as by the standards of Matt Thornton or their Regional
Director, they are placed on a two-year probationary period, but
function and may advertise as a SBGi Gym. During this two-year period,
they must continue to meet with their RD at least twice a year and
attend at least one camp per year.
