Back from Canada & Singapore
It’s been a busy Month. I had a great time in Trenton Canada working with Jay and his crew. It was also great to see Mike, Rebecca, Rich, Paul and the rest of the Canadian crew.
I left the next day for a trip to our Singapore Gym. As always, the trip was fantastic. Singapore is an amazing place, and Kon is a great host. Also, big thanks to Vince and the KDTA crew for once again showing their support and turning up in large numbers.
I gave the second blue belt so far to the Singapore team, (the first being Kon) to Chris Bagguley. A well deserved promotion that the guys gave him on his last days in the City, as he is moving to Bangkok for work.
Sun, sand, some of the worlds best food, a beautiful sparkling clean city, and typhoon rain, you can’t beat Singapore.
New SBGi Instructors in Townsend Mass!
We have just added two new SBGi Instructors to the roster. . .Mike Pearce, and Sandy Lasa. Mike and Sandy have trained hard over the last few Years and truly represent what SBGi is all about. SBGi Coach Steve Whittier was just there this last weekend, April 10th, and announced their promotion as full fledged SBGi Instructors.
As such we have moved the Townsend gym from ATG status to an SBGi Gym and training facility. Dynamic Martial Athletics is a fulltime professional Gym, and they do a great job coaching stand up, MMA, BJJ, and the entire SBGi curriculum. I am very proud to have them represent our Organization.

Results and video from Copenhagen Open Submission Wrestling
CSA CPH / SBGi Denmark fought in a really good turnament this weekend with tons of great competitors from Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Brazil.
Thomas was the man of the day as he beat a black belt fighter from Brazil on his way to the final, where he lost only 0-2 to another brazilian black belt in a close and very tactical fight. Five brazilians are visiting Sweden and probably expected they would sweep the turnament…. they were wrong! One of them lost the final to an amazing swedish fighter (Malick from Brasa Malmö) on flying triangle after 15 seconds!
I will make a highlight video soon, untill then you can watch a few of the fights here:
Thomas la Cour (SBGi Denmark) vs. Alexandro Lima (Team Edson Carvalho)
Christian Graugart (SBGi Denmark) vs. Andreas Henriksson (Ystad Fight Club)
2nd place:
Thomas la Cour -91 kg
3rd place:
Morten Jensen -97 kg
4th place:
Christian Graugart -85 kg
Frej Nielsen -73 kg
Kari Gunnarsson -79 kg
